Day 3- shameful...

We had smoothies and wheat bread for the kiddies.... and then...

My husband home sick is a bad influence on me. Shamrock shakes all around. MUST. DO. BETTER. TOMORROW :)
Lunch for cute little kid 2. She loves hot dogs- whatever. don't judge.
Salads for the rest of the week. and leftovers... we choose not to waste delicious stuff :)
Another idea from my bad influence... Chipotle (2 for 1- thx facebook)- mmmmmm- lucky for me, they did not cook their veggies- terrible heartburn, but it was RAW! yay for me :)

Kiddos- leftovers + peanuts, salad, carrots, cucumber, and blackberries
 My salad
This was terrible when you make it gluten free. It tasted like NOTHING. Like we were not eating anything- bummer, because it was all homemade. Rice pasta, cheese sauce, spinich...sounded like it would be good.
Dinner with above salad- broiled shrimp with cilantro marinade.
Had to make cookies for preschool- Did you notice that the sugar is raw? There you go- perfect for eating more raw food :)

Tomorrow- more raw food and less treats :)

Day 2

Day 2 was...
Gorilla Munch and strawberry, banana, blueberry smoothies

Salad with broccoli, tomato, cucumber, cheese and bleu cheese dressing
Kiddos opted for "Sticky Chicken" - kids with fevers get what they want.  They had it with blackberries and strawberries. Kiddo 2 ended up eating most of my salad too.

Here are the kid plates- Sticky chx, rice, broccoli, cucumber, blackberries
                                    so cute eating lunch
my stir fry :) Chx tons of veggies- cooked, but I don't care :)
Kiddo dinner- I used the shredded chx and corn that I was using in the meal I was making for hubby and I.
some of the fresh things for the grownup meal
Chicken Enchilada, salad with tomato, carrots, and cucumber, and raspberries

Kiddo after dinner snack- Organic pears and a scoop of ice cream.

I am probably going to eat this  :)

better or maybe worse- I can't tell.. I think we ate enough raw? Maybe not....tough to convince the kids for sure....

Hope tomorrow goes well!

Day 1 Lunch and Dinner

                                         Veggies for lunch
Peanut butter and bananas on whole wheat for the kiddos

                                            Kid plate minus the carrots
                                            My salad
Annie's Organic Mac and Cheese (with a little added sharp cheddar shhhh)
Dinner: Artichoke and Goat Cheese Strata- Above gluten free bread- below artichokes

                                                              Fresh out of the oven

Missing pics- fresh pineapple (I recommend just buying the spears- nightmare to cut!!)
Salad from earlier.

and I made the desert from above....seriously-soooooo good. I used Wild Turkey (thats how we roll) instead of the rum- and skipped the last 2 tsps. I also burnt the pineapple to a crisp- oops. Would not recommend doing that.

Nevermind- this is day 1 :)

So..... things were bad yesterday...really bad.
We ate things that I won't even mention on this blog :)  Horrible, bad for you things.... Bucca de Beppo and Donut Man- Shame on you...

So, here begins day 1.

Easy for the hubs and I- a little shaky for the kids.. Here are some of the things we had for breakfast.
                                                                       Cashews
Rasberry, blackberry, stawberry, banana, nonfat yogurt smoothies
                                                                Kids smoothie cups
                                                                 We also took these
Above and below- What the kids actually ate... Were not fans of the smoothie... Only had a few cashews

So there is breakfast :)  Stay tuned lunch and dinner are coming...
It will include salad.. and maybe this- a girl has to enjoy life right???

Day 1. February 20th.

Today was a rough start to our day.... oops. I am too sick to run to the store so we started out with our normal pre-church meal of Gluten Free pancakes (yes, I am mostly Gluten Free). Not exactly my goal of over half of every meal being raw, but I am trying...

Breakfast-
Me- 2 pancakes w/syrup (oh the shame)
2 pieced of sausage
Raspberry Zinger tea
water with multivitamen

 the hubs
6 pancakes
1 piece of sausage
I think he had a coke zero (but my recollection is foggy because I am sick :) )

Kid 1-
1 scambled egg
2 pieces sausage
blackberries
Orange Juice (not even fresh squeezed and we normally do that)

Kid 2
2 sausage
1 pancake
Orange Juice

Lunch-
Chinese Chicken Salad with organic lettuce and blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
Drink: water

Seriously not an awesome start. Will go to the store and be better tomorrow~~~

I shudder to think of what we will have for dinner!

Stay tuned- seriously it will get better. I am a women on a mission

xoxo

Sick and tired

No, literally- I am sick and tired today. Much like I have been since October. I get rid of a cold and get a stomach bug, then a cold, and then stomach bug....repeat process. Not only have I been sick, but so has my little family. I found myself extra frustrated last night and decided to watch a documentary recommended to me by a friend called FoodMatters.

Yikes- Not only did it make me feel like I suck as a mom, but that I am poisoning my self! You seriously are what you eat!

So here it begins- My 365 blog of food for a year. 51% raw is the goal. 100% Organic, and most of out food bought from local farmers.... wish me luck because I have a PICKY family.
